SEO or Search Engine Optimization is key if you want to get to the top of Google, Yahoo or the other search engines natural search results. The first thing you need to know is what is the main objective of your blog (this is key to creating an SEO blog) what is your target market. So let’s look at the key steps to help you with your Blog’s SEO and get you started building more traffic.

Determining what your blog will be about and what your targeted market is will allow you to focus your post and pages to best suit the interest of that market. WordPress plugins that will make your site more search engine optimized, some are free and some you may have to buy. Here are a few of my favorites;

  2. All in one SEO pack (free)
  3. SEOPressor (need to buy)

There a many more good ones but these 3 are a good place to start.

It’s important to continually add new and fresh compelling contain to you SEO Blog. The search engines love to see web pages that is adding new content they think that they are relevant and add value to the market place. You also have to make it compelling as the search engines give you more juice the longer someone stays on your page. I suggest you add at least 1 piece of content a day for your first 90 days if you really what to get you blog traffic growing. After that 3 – 4 new pieces of content a week is enough.
